What does the SWAT MC Colors (vest patch) mean to you?

To me, the colors mean solidarity. The black is for strength and dominance- no other color can over power black. And that’s what we are- STRONG-DOMINATING women. The white represents a “softer side,” we ride hard, but we are still Ladies- Ladies of class, distinction and uniqueness. The silver represents “LIGHT” we SHINE where ever we go!

When all of these colors are put together, it represents solidarity, sisterhood, and the genuine love and respect that we have for one another.

What is your first Motorcycling memory?

My first motorcycling memory would have to be- when I was about 5 or 6, my mom rode with an Independent Traveler’s Bike Club. She had bought me a pair of brown, knee high pleather boots with a 1inch rubber heel….. .. Big Dog (mom’s biker boy) and his MC Comrades praised those boots! Said I was a TRUE RIDER now!! Ha ha ha…so he picked me up and put me on the back of his cruiser and we rode around the block 2 or 3 times.. he said “when we pass the crowd, show them your motorcycle boots!” So we rode and he blew the horn and I stuck my lil legs out there, twisting my ankle proudly!! That was the first time I RODE a motorcycle!!

What is your most embarrassing Motorcycling memory?

Most embarrassing for me would HAVE to be the day me, Mo and another dude was riding and I hit the throttle in the curve and shot out in front of an oncoming car (white Impala-Lord, thank U).. I missed the car but stop 2 inches shy of some bushes and about 6 feet shy of the side of a brick building! The mishap itself was not SO embarrassing b/c we were the only ones to see it… the embarrassment came after word got out.. I am still living that one down- it is said that I have an up close and personal relationship with buildings and bushes.

And, finally what advice would you give to a novice rider and/or future prospective member of SWAT MC?

My advice would be- know what U getting into. If your heart ain’t in it, do not do it!! Know the meaning of dedication, personal commitment and loyalty. Once you become SWAT, you have taken instant family and instant love- Respect that and value that. Lastly, and equally importantly- PLEASE NOW- motorcycle riding is a HOBBY, Motorcycle Clubbing is a LIFESTYLE- determine which suits you and plan accordingly.
