What do the SWAT Colors (vest patch) mean to you?

To me personally, the SWAT Colors symbolize sisterhood, love, unity, respect and diversity.  It also represents the bond shared with other sisters who have the same passion for riding and also embodies the time, energy and unselfishness displayed when giving back to the community.

What is your first Motorcycling memory?

One of my fondest motorcycle memories was back in 1999 or 2000 when bikers used to take over Anacostia Park and the Mobile Gas Station.  I remember going down there for a DC bike fest and just over come with all the bikes. I think what did it for me was out of all the guys on the bikes, there were a few women riders out there representing and I was like wow that is hot.  So in 2001 me and Jerrice (Baby J) camped out to get into the motorcycle riding class at PGCC and by the weekend ends, I received my official motorcycle license in 2001.

What is your most embarrassing Motorcycling memory?

Wow my most embarrassing motorcycle memory was when I was riding my bike up the hill by my parents house and underestimated the angle going into their drive way and hesitated and titled over into my neighbors yard.  The bike was too heavy for me to lift it up and it was resting on my ankle and the curve; if it wasn’t for my elderly neighbor walking down the street and helping me to lift my ankle up from under the bike it might have been sprained.  Then my sister and her boyfriend at the time had to come and help me lift the bike up and push it in the drive way lol…..

What advice would you give to a novice rider and/or future prospective member of SWAT?

My advice would be to carefully plan out how to achieve your expected riding results. Riding can be very fun and dangerous so network with advance riders, keep your bike serviced at all times, wear proper riding gear and most of all practice, practice, practice and pray.
